During our transition between our spring and summer interns, I had the opportunity to put together a Friday Favorites post for the Meant to Be blog. In this series, we highlight some of our favorite gowns in the store, usually focusing on a particular theme or designer. I chose to write about 1920’s inspired weddings and it was probably the most fun I had writing a post. F. Scott Fitzgerald is my favorite author and I’ve read most of his novels as well as several biographies about him and his wife, Zelda. Check out a preview of the post below and click the link to visit Meant to Be’s blog to see all the gorgeous wedding gown photos.
“In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars.”
― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
He may have been a fictional character, but no one threw a better party than Jay Gatsby. From the striking geometric Art Deco detailing to the glitz and glamour of the American flapper, a wedding done Gatsby-style is sure to be a celebration to remember. Here are five Meant to Be gowns that embody that oh-so-beautiful 1920’s style.
